1979 chinook pop top rv in Forest Grove, OR

This is a 1979 Chinook gazelle pop top, in excellent condition. All the major work has been done in the last two years. The Chinook is on the Toyota 20R engine and base hilux pickup, a very tough rig, go to utube and see guys running these up the Alaskan highway and through the mud.The engine is rebuilt and clutch, 4 speed shifts very smooth.The entire inside was gutted and rebuilt. and is clean, soundproof insulation, sink, storage cabinets, and a folding futon/couch bed that is very comfortable. The front cabin is also clean with new carpets and seats. Excellent cd/radio, with speakers in the back.Rewired with led lights, USB port, and several plug ins. I liked to keep a fan or heater under the bed ready to go. I have the tubing if you wish to plug into the propane tank.During the rebuild, the top was removed and totally rebuilt, 4 inches higher, so you can sit in the back with the lid down. Fiberglass work done in a surf shop and it does not leak a drop.The heater /furnace was rusted and I used a heater buddy, or plug in bathroom heater just fine. Porti potti included.Stove runs off the propane tanks, original sink and table, pedestal top.Two very large cabinets in the back hold a ton of gear , I use big plastic bins, very easy to load.
